11. Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian - $1,452,662
12. Star Trek - $1,164,416

Overall, the Box Office was down 12.7% on last weekend's total gross.

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen returned to the box office this weekend with his new shockumentary BRUNO which managed a strong $30.6M on opening. This is a great start for this somewhat unconventional film but it is not the sensation that its predecessor BORAT was. Next weekend will be the telling factor as BORAT was able to increase its audience in its second weekend whereas BRUNO is likely to do the opposite.

ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS remains in second spot in its second weekend, taking a solid $27.6M and losing only 34% of its audience. The film has earned a healthy $119M so far against a production budget of $90M.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN slips to third place with a decent $24.2M over the weekend. Although the film is a huge success, the majority of that success is attributed to its first five days of release as it is now quickly running out of steam. The film has earned a fantastic $339M domestically but it may struggle to get to $400M, something which is indicitive of the film's reception by the audience, especially compared to the box office giant of last year, THE DARK KNIGHT, which grossed around $530M after opening in a similar fashion.

PUBLIC ENEMIES earned another $13.7M this weekend to take its domestic box office total to $66M. Although it will struggle, the Michael Mann period-gangster film may get to $100M but will need overseas box office to put it in the black.

Sandra Bullock's new rom-com THE PROPOSAL is continuing to do great business, adding another $10.6M in box office to take its domestical total to $113.8M against a $40M budget. The same can be said for THE HANGOVER which earned another $9.9M, taking its domestic total to a mammoth $222M. In the case of the latter, this is particularly astonishing as no one expected this type of comedy to make such a huge splash, and has become a huge winner against its $35M budget.

The other new opener for the weekend barely made a dent in the competition. I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER earned a paltry $4.9M over the weekend and despite only costing $18M to make, the film will struggle to recoup that amount.

The US Box Office took in a total of $135,765,000 for the whole of the weekend 10-12 July 2009.
